    About Objects

    hello,
    Iam using silt test 5.0.3

while recording the testcases i found that it is identifying objects by same name
    ie.,
the login field and password field are recorded as the same object

if i try to run the test case then both the name and passord r entered in the name field
    and so testcase fails

    what is the problem here.

    thank you
    avinash

    Re: About Objects

    Hi Avi,

    some questions for you:

    1. Are your two fields on the same page?

    2. If your two fields are on the same page, when you record your testcase, in your window declarations, do you get two objects with the same name or just one object?

If you get two objects with the same name, you can just go into your windows declarations and rename one of the fields. Then reference this new name in your code, in order to differentiate between the two fields.

    Hope that helps you.

    Anh.
