    problem while identifying window name..

    User Rajashekar L. (lrajashekhar@quark.co.in.nospam) posted:

    Hi,
I'm facing problem while executing scripts on some other machine and those
scripts are working fine on my system.
    Below are the statements

    Window wName = DeskTop.GetActive()
    Switch wName
    Case "Duplicates"
    ...Statements
    Case "Blank Fields"
    ....Statements

the above script is working fine on my Machine, its getting window name ex:
    "Duplicates"
but when I execute the same script on some other machine, its getting the
    complete tag of the window
    ex: "Parentname.DialogBox/[Duplicates]"
so my scripts are failing all the time, can any one suggest me how to tackle
    this Problem?
Do I need to change any settings?

    thanks
    Raj

    No harm, no foul intended
I know this is a free for all -- you can have whatever UserName you want, BUT
it doesn't make much sense when you see posts or topics started by SilkTest asking for help about SilkTest

What do you say AJ? Can this be changed to something like SilkUser1 or SilkTestUser1 or something else other than name of the test tool?
Pretty soon we'll see people signing up WinRunner, Robot, QARun as their username.
    ...just a suggestion....
