    Send Live testcases results via e-mail

    I am trying to use GBMailer to send out live results when each testcase finished execution, so I can debug on failures on side machine while other testcases are still running.

    I put the SYS_Execute("sh c:\scripts\sendmail.sh") in TextCaseExit function, it sends out the mail OK, but not until the whole suite stop running. so I am wondering if any function call besides ResExportOnClose can make that happen?

    I am looking for any silk functions can generate result file right after each testcase has been executed, not like ResExportOnResults(), it only does that when the script/suite/testplan terminates. So that my sendmail script will automatically send out live testcase execution results to me, I can start debug on those while rest of the testcases are still running on another PC.

    Make a function that you call on testcase exit that writes your own file.

    You can get the testcase statics using the following 4Test functions:

    GetTestCaseName()
    GetTestCaseErrorCount()
    GetTestCaseWarningCount()
    ElapsedStr ()

    Write the data to a file, then send that file.

    Those are perfect for the detail information, but was there any thing about the errors in the log file, not just the counter how many errors?

    Many Thanks,

    True, ResExportOnResults() will give you the LAST error encounted in the testcase (although not all of the errors).

    So, what about using ResExport(sFileToSave)? You should be able to call that at any time.

    Also, you might want to look up where SilkTest defines these functions. You might be able to make your own based on them.
