ActiveX entsions for Silk crashing my application ...

Our application uses lot of VB and ActiveX controls. When I select the exe for our applcation and enable the ActiveX extensions for Silk and launch our application, Our application crashes. If I disable the ActiveX extension in Silk our application launches fine. Has anyone seen this before any resolution is appreciated.

Re: ActiveX entsions for Silk crashing my application ...

Yes, has happened to me and to others. In fact, I had a case where I could manully run a test with the ActiveX extention turned off and not have a problem. When I turned the extension on and ran the same manual test (without SilkTest running -- only the extension turned on) the application would crash.
Segue support wasted a lot of my time without fixing the problem.
The problem went away on its own after the developers cleaned up their heap management.

Search the archive for more details.

    Suresh,

Make sure that your dev team has set all objects to nothing as a alst step in their code for all the methods or any call to object should be set to nothing after been used. This could be a mem issue.
