    silk freezing

I am testing an application that deals with chemical design.

After invoking a dialog and clicking OK, a new layout is displayed in the
main MDI child of the application. In this display you can move the mouse
around and it will show you the peaks. When this happens the mouse turns
into the hourglass. Hitting Escape exits this mode.

My problem is doing this manually has no problem. I run this with silk and
as soon as it clicks ok in the dialog mentioned earlier, silk stops
executing commands. The display appears correctly, but silk doesn't do
anything. Silk will start responding again after I have manually hit escape,
stopped the test script, or alt-tab'd to another app.

I suspect it has something to do with the mouse being in the hourglass form.
I also tried changing the action that is performed when silk freezes from
mouse clicks to mouse moves to just pressing escape.

I am running SilkTest 5.5 SP1 on Windows NT 4.0 SP6a with 384mb ram. Thanks
    for any help.

The problem is encountered because after the previous click, your application focusses on other object which could be another child of the same Midi window where the original menu controls were. Try to SetActive the area of your window and then reconfirm the same by clicking in any area where it wouldn't respond but the click will activate the right part of your application.
