JDBC driver with Silk?

Have anybody has any experience how to work with JDBC data source in order
to query a database from the Silk script? The database we are using is not
DBTester functions are useless, because they designed to call ODBC APIs.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sure there have to be jdbc-odbc bridges available, which will allow you to define an odbc datasource which links straight into the jdbc connection to the database.
My first place to try would be sun - it wouldn't surprise me if one is freely available.
