    To use dll created in VB with Silktest 5.0.3

    I have a dll created in VB 5.0, and I am trying to call the function in the dll with following declaration...

    [-] dll "i.dll"
    [ ] void createConnection()

    After declaration, I called the function in the main().

    [-] main()
    [ ] createConnection()

    But When I run the script I am getting following error...

    [ ] *** Error: Function createConnection not found in i.dll
    [ ] Occurred in createConnection
    [ ] Called from main at testdll.t(11)

    Can somebody help me to solve this issue...

    regards
    Dwarka

    Hi,

    It could be possible that the function you are trying to call actually has an alias, and that is what you should be calling. I know from experience that many functions in Micorsoft DLL's need to be called by their alias.

    Did you try to use your i.dll under vb, and does it work, when you export the same function. Then again the alias thing I think is just used so that it won't get name conflicts within silk. Unless BostonSilk is talking about the alias for exported functions in your i.dll(if you have any).

    Hi GodKnows
    Myself and Dwarka are working on the same problem of calling vb dll in silk script. When we called this dll in vb it works fine and we have not used any alias in the dll. Do you have any idea how to export functions available dll created in vb? Because support guy from Seque is suggesting to export the functions in dll.
