    Record Identifiers off by inches

SilkTest seems to be seeing my objects about an inch or so higher than they appear on screen. When I point at an object, it identifies an object well below it. Using ST5.5sp1, IE5.5sp2. Each object has a unique tag and none are indexed.

Re: Record Identifiers off by inches

    Edso,

I've only seen this once before in a rather specific situation. It involved a Java stand alone App with a number of sizable frames. What was happening was one of the frames contained a number of buttons that were hidden underneath the frame below it. Resizing the frame so that all buttons were exposed caused the problem to disappear.

Is there anything similar in your case?

It is a Java app with many frames and layers, but none of the frames are sizeable, (except the browser).

I am not sure what is happening but have a suggestion to try.

Go to "Agent options" and select the "Verification" tab. Uncheck everything there, but especially OPT_VERIFY_EXPOSED.

I have seen Java controls that could not be seen because SilkTest thought that they were "covered" by invisible layers that disappear when this option was unchecked.

Let us know if there is any change.

Do your frames have wide borders?

No wide borders, and no luck after changing agent verification options.
