instantiating textfields on the fly

In my java app, I have a combobox, with three choices:
delete, insert, edit.
Depending on which on you choose, 1 to 3
textfields appear in a line
However, when running a testcase, after ST has selected one of the values from the combobox, nothing appears.
I have recorded the declarations for these textfields, and am able to test values in them when I open the window with them already
there, it is just that ST doesn't seem able to make them appear on the fly.
Any ideas...?

The way SilkTest selects things from a ComboBox doesn't trigger the application to think that anything has changed. Might want to do a TypeKeys ("<Space>") on the ComboBox after doing the Select and see if that works.

Unfortunately that doesn't do it. Will experiment further, but thank you anyway.

Tried:
blah.blah.Comboboxthing.TypeKeys("")
and
blah.blah.Comboboxthing.TypeKeys("<Enter>")
etc..

Whoops... I repeated myself,
it should have read:

blah.blah.Comboboxthing.TypeKeys("")
and
blah.blah.Comboboxthing.TypeKeys("<Enter>")
etc

OK, there appears to be a problem typing
lessthan and greater than. Obviously, it is being mistaken for a tag
I'll try again with entities:
blah.blah.Comboboxthing.TypeKeys("<Enter>")

Re: instantiating textfields on the fly

OK, that worked...
Dave, I wonder if you meant Typekeys("")
or something else which got mistaken for a tag...?

Re: instantiating textfields on the fly

Yeah, sorry. Forgot to use the HTML codes. What I meant was TypeKeys ("<Space&gt")
