    Distributed Client/server testing

    Hi All,

I am using SilkTest for distributed Cleint/server testing.
The client is in MS ACCESS, and the centralised backend is in ORACLE, both sits on different servers.

Can I make use of Agents to simulate test cases for the above said app ?

Do I need to install the SilkTest on both the servers ?.

    Do help me.

    thanks,
    pat.

    Re: Distributed Client/server testing

You only need an agent for any machine to you need to interact with.

Ie. If you can do everything through the UI then you don't need to distribute Silk. If you want to read directly from the database you can use the ODBC functions from the Client machine.

We use silk to test a distributed application and we only need to use silk agents to run batch processes which have to be run from the server, everything else is run through the client.

Any machine you want to directly manipulate will need a SilkAgent.

    Hi

How does Silk converts all the records which have been fetched from a database to a .csv or text file.
