    Can\'t check checkbox in java application.

    I'm testing java application.
    At the moment I'm trying to make SilkTest see controls by recording of classes as at first all controls were seen as CustomWins.
    With CheckBox I have problem: after running of next code

    "JavaMainWin("win1").JavaxSwingJCheckBox("$javax.s wing.JCheckBox[1]").Check()"

    Silk checks it but I have in result file error:
    "*** Error: Control is not responding"

    Any help and any advise on recording of classes will be appreciated.
    Tanya

    Re: Can\'t check checkbox in java application.

    Tatiana,
    have you enabled Java application extensions in SilkTest's Extension Enabler? I just ran into a similar problem with ActiveX controls and someone suggested I review my settings in the Extension Enabler.

    From Start | Programs | [silktestfolder]...
    select "Extension Enabler". you can read about this in the Help files of SilkTest. You may need to manually add the java application you're testing.

    good luck

    Re: Can\'t check checkbox in java application.

    Tatiana,
    the following is a quote from one of your previous posts:

    "Also I checked in Options/Extensions... Java checkbox."

    The recommendation my reply before this one is IN ADDITION to what you did already.

    maybe this will help?

    you have to set the agent option in your code if u get an error" control not responding"

    i.e Agent.SetOption (OPT_VERIFY_RESPONDING, False)
    I hope u have got solution...all the best

    Re: Can\'t check checkbox in java application.

    When all else fails, try:

    YourObject.Click()

    That will merely TOGGLE the check status, but hey, at least you will be able to work with it from there with YourObject.isChecked() [I dont have Silk with me here, but some method to find out the status].

    Re: Can\'t check checkbox in java application.

    I faced a similar problem.
    I solved it using by Giving appropriate Tabs
    to the CheckBox and Then Using
    BrowserPage.TypeKeys(" ") .. i.e Trying to simulate the click of the spaceBar to check
    the checkbox.

    This worked for me
