    Declaring Multiple Parent Windows

I am testing Client/Server sofware (VB). I am currently declaring the Frame.

Does anybody know if you can declare multiple parent windows for a dialog, as a particlular dialog can be opened from a number of different places in the App.

Am I approaching this right or should I declare the offending dialog as a child of the places it can be called.

This is the way thats not working for me->
    [-] window DialogBox FindContract
    [ ] tag "Find Contract"
    [ ] parent AddContact
    [ ] parent CreateTask

    Thanks and Happy Testing

Yes, you can do it using the multitag statement and by removing the parent statement and embedding the parent into each tag. For example...
Of course, if your multi-parent DialogBox is deeper than the above one-off DialogBox, you'll need to do some more levels in each tag. For the easiest way to do this, make sure that Window Tag is available in the Record menu. If it isn't, go to Agent Options (Options menu, Agent MenuItem), choose the Compatibility page, and Check the "Add 'Window Tags' to the Record Menu.

In the Record Window Tags DialogBox, click Show Details and check the "Parent" CheckBox on the right.

    Good luck.

You can also use the following:

    Window DialogBox FindContract
    tag "~ActiveApp/[DialogBox]Find Contract"

Speciries that the parent is the currently active application.

    tlvranas is right!
This is what's recommended in the SilkTest documentation.
