    IE5 and SilkTest 5.0.1

Just wondering if anyone has seen this problem yet:

I'm running IE5 with all of the updates from windowsupdate.microsoft.com and SilkTest 5.0.1 and I can't see any of the HTMLTables, HTMLTextFields and my links are all HTMLText when I do a declarations capture.

However, on a non-patched IE5, I don't see any of these problems, all of the correct items appear and are labelled.

Anyone seen this or something similar and have a fix? UGH!!!

I have seen this, and no I have no fix for it, but I fixed my scripts accordingly. (meaning I can still see the links and text which used to be inside the table but now is ourside) so I wrote the scripts a little differently that's all.

We have a lot of such problems when using Silk with nested tables. In a way, it is a way of life with Silk! It is not just enough if you learn about Silk's features; you should also learn to do workarounds...

OK Here's the scoop on why things are not the same on IE and NS using Silk > 5.0....

Have you noticed Silk Runs 10x faster on IE than NS? It's exactly that....

Silk is being updated with new tech on finding objects I cannot quite remember the acronym but it's new tech which is supposed to be in Silk 5.5 soon. Except they are using some of it for Silk 5.01 and you can only see it on IE now...

So yes Silk declares things differently on IE than NS, but that will soon change

Yeah, I think I'm just going to use the unpatched computers. I'm the only security nut here, so no-one else here has the patched version (although BubbleBoy may change that).
