I want to select text from a text field. But SetSelRange() selects text from second character. Anybody have any solution?

For a text field, you should be able to use textfieldObj.GetText() to retrieve the text in that field. If there is text selected, but not all text in the field, then textfieldObj.GetSelText() should be returning everything that is selected (thus, make sure that the first character actually is selected).
David's correct, but if the problem is that you need the text selected and SetSelText isn't doing the trick, you might want to try adding the following method into the object....
That should select all of the text in a TextField or HtmlTextField object.

A concerned Borland customer, a fly in the ointment, a wrench in the works.

Unless you have defined your very own SetSelText() method, you'll never get this to work since it does not exist in SilkTest (at least in 18.104.22.168 version). You probably wanted to use GetSelText () instead.
