    Remote running of the test automation with SILK

    Hi,

    I am trying to find out the ways to run the test automation in remote.
    In other word I set all test scripts in the system under test in Lab and try to launch the test suites from my local computer.

    The system under test;

    I looked the in the partner's line command and I created a batch file as;

    "\\QA4\Segue\SilkTest\partner.exe" -m \\QA4 -q -r \\QA4\AutoTest\TestScripts\Test-Remote-loader.t 693 10

    I set the option menu with TCP/IP and I made sCmdLine in correct path and the machine name as \\QA4

    const sCmdLine = "\\QA4\pdrTest\profile\Loader.exe ";

    However I keep getting the error as follow;

    [ ] *** Error: Application cannot be started -- Path not found
    [ ] Occurred in Loader.Invoke

    I guess I missed the settings in Silk (?)

    If you have experienced in the remote running of the SILK test automation, please help me with your comments.

    Thank you very much for your help.
    What a great help!

    John,

    Again, you are going a little too literal on the help. Look at the help files for how to set up a
    distributed test (SetUpMachine( sMachine) functions, etc...) Then, launch partner telling it which machine
    (in the list of machines) you want the agent to connect to. But first, you need to ensure that you have
    the Agent already running on the target machine and ready for TCP/IP communication:

    partner -m TARGETMACHINE -r TESTSCRIPT.T

    The testscript should have the logic in it to do the connecting (again, using GetArgs()). Also, you are
    still running Partner locally, not on the target machine by itself.

    Good luck.
