Cross Browser testing.
Since I am new to Silk Test, Can any body give me some information abt cross browser testing. How effective this one? Do I need to install all different brosers on the silk test host or agent?
Thanks, in advance
Re: Cross Browser testing.
If you want SilkTest to use different browsers to test on, you will have to install the different browsers to be tested. When venturing down this path, I would recommend automating a set of tests on one browser first and then concentrate on 'porting' the script to work on the different browsers. This way you can at least have a lot of functionality automated on one browser to take advantage of while porting the rest. You may also want to consider just porting a bare minimum number of tests to the other browsers for your 'cross-browser' tests.
Definately get training or consulting to teach you about using tags and conditionally using tags for different browsers. For more info on this, check out the link below.
