    [ ] ls = ReturnLinkData ("http://www.segue.com","http://www.segue.com", 1)

[-] List of string ReturnLinkData(String sBaseURL, String sIncDomains, Integer iDepth)
    [ ] LINKTESTERINFO lit
[ ] List of String ls
    [ ]
[ ] //Populate the LINKTESTERINFO structure with the passed in data
    [ ] lit.sBaseURL = sBaseURL

    [ ] lit.iDepth = iDepth
    [ ]
    [ ] ls = RunLinkTester (lit)
    [ ]
    [ ] //Parse ls as appropriate
    [ ]

    Re: Link tester

I run your first test scritp and it worked fine for me. The result was the list of every link on the page and its status.
    domain = http://www.segue.com, depth = 1 http://www.segue.com, 1272, OK http://www.segue.com/html/images/transpix.gif, 30, OK http://www.segue.com/html/s_services/s_training.htm, 40, OK
    ...

It looks like the problem is in your Silk setup, not the script. Check if your extensions are enabled. Also check the Runtime options for Default Browser and use files: extend\explorer.inc.

Note: I was using Silk 5.5 (without hot fixes) and IE 5.5 DOM.

    Re: Link tester

Could be a DNS problem. Can you open www.segue.com in a browser? It may also be that your internet connectivity needs to use a proxy. You would have to configure the link tester to use a proxy if this is the case. FYI-Early versions of LinkTester did not have the ability to go through a proxy. I'm not sure when this capability was added, but it is there in the version that ships with SilkTest 5.5

    Re: Link tester

    SilkTest55 SP3 with DOM extension, IE6.0SP1

I tried the script posted by pratibhakachi. It did not work for me. The result is:

    [-] Testcase Recordactions - Passed
[ ] *** DefaultBaseState is setting Browser active, No window was active
[ ] The system cannot find the path specified.
    [-] Testcase TestHomePage - Passed
[ ] The system cannot find the path specified.

I also opened the Link Tester program from ST Tools menu. In the Link Tester, the base URL is http://www.segue.com. The proxy is properly set up. I could open and navigate the web site. But, only one link was checked and returned, that is http://www.segue.com. it seemed that the Link Tester did not find or check links in the Segue.com home page. However, when I tried the same setting for www.yahoo.com. It seemed work fine. Any idea?
