    Data-Driven Testing

    I need to:
    1. Read a tab-delimited file
    2. Split the input-line on the tab-delimiter
    3. Place each extracted item into an array

I would also like to know if SilkTest supports the creation of "associative" arrays, and/or how to convert a text-string (e.g. "Item_1") into a variable (Item_1).
    Thanks in Advance - Rick

    Re: Data-Driven Testing

I have a function that will do exactly what you want. Never tried it with a tab (I usually use a pipe ( | ), but if you use the CHR number for tab, it should work.

I do also have a function for going the other way - taking an array and putting it into a string with a dilimeter. Strangly, it is called Join()

    Hope this helps.
