    Selecting from popuplist

    User (jeffreygreen@avaya.com.nospam) posted:

    Has anyone encountered a problem when selecting a value from an
    htmlpopuplist. The problem I get is mouse coordinates are off the
    screen. This problem didn't occur when I was using 5.0.3.2 but since
    I converted to 5.5 the problem now occurs. I am using IE 5.5 with
    Windows 98. Also, if anyone knows a workaround that would be
    appreciated

    Thanks
    Jeff

    Yes, that is a known issue with SilkTest 5.5. It should be fixed in Hot Fix
    3. There is still a problem that is in all versions of 5.5 in which the
    popup list might cause the browser to lockup.

    Search the SilkTest forum on betasoft.com for other comments on this
    problem.

    Hello,

    I ran into a popup list problem as well.

    Dave's solution is right on target.

    You can also do the following.

    // GET THE CONTENTS
    LIST OF STRING ls = wPopup.GetContents ()

    // FIND WHERE YOUR ITEM IS
    INTEGER iPos = ListFind (ls, sItem)

    // SET FOCUS TO POPUP LIST
    wPopup.SetFocus ()

    // GO TO FIRST ITME
    wPopup.TypeKeys ("<Home>")

    // TYPE DOWN ARROWS
    wPopup.TypeKeys ("<Down iPos>")

    Hope this helps.
