Declaring window with Custom Control (JavaJFCPushButton)

    Hi Everyone,

I am testing and automating an application with custom controls. This particular application has a tool bar with 6 buttons. When I declare the main window with the tool bar in question, SilkTest sees only the very first button:

    [+] JavaJFCPushButton ComProjectUtilUiPToolBarButton
    [ ] tag "#1"

SilkTest cannot see the remaining 5 buttons. Has anyone seen a similar problem? How did you go about solving the dilemma?

I have heard that Seque has a jar file for custom objects. Before I call Seque and have a long wait, does anyone have additional jars from Seques that solve custom control problems?

Any suggestions are welcome and very much appreciated. Thanks.

From your message is not clear if you are using the SilkTest_Java2.jar file. It MUST be in your CLASSPATH for Java to work in SILK. If you do, please state how your Record Class sees the objects.

Re: Declaring window with Custom Control (JavaJFCPushButton)

    Hi Lev,

Thank you for the reply. I do have SilkTest_Java2.jar in my path. The Record Class sees the object as a pushbutton. For example: this is what it sees:

    [+] JavaJFCPushButton ComProjectUtilUiPToolBarButton
    [ ] tag "#1"

    It should see this:

    [+] JavaJFCPushButton ComProjectUtilUiPToolBarButton 1
    [ ] tag "#1"

    [+] JavaJFCPushButton ComProjectUtilUiPToolBarButton 2
    [ ] tag "#2"

    [+] JavaJFCPushButton ComProjectUtilUiPToolBarButton 3
    [ ] tag "#3"

    [+] JavaJFCPushButton ComProjectUtilUiPToolBarButton 4
    [ ] tag "#4"

    [+] JavaJFCPushButton ComProjectUtilUiPToolBarButton 5
    [ ] tag "#5"

    [+] JavaJFCPushButton ComProjectUtilUiPToolBarButton 6
    [ ] tag "#6"

Because there are a total of 6 buttons not just one. SilkTest is behaving like the Tool Bar has only 1 button on it.

Thanks again for any help you can provide.

If you print the return of GetRect () of this object, is it for only one of the buttons, or is the object actually only one button which has multiple 'hotspots' defined in it so that it acts as though it were multiple buttons?
