GetWrappedText returns a variable, not the text

I trying to get the html text from an error page. I'm using IE 5.5.
I use a varialbe that contains invalid characters to fill in a text field.
I click 'Save' which then brings up the error page.
I use: 'lsErrorMessage = (ErrorPage.ErrorTxt.GetWrappedText)' to try to get the error message text but what I get is the 'lsErrorMessage' variable holding the invalid user name variable.
Since the user page is closed when the error page is opened, and the 'GetWrappedText' function is associated with the object 'ErrorPage.ErrorTxt' I'm having a heck of a time understanding why the user name variable is returned using the 'GetWrappedText' function.
Any help in understanding this would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks, Scott

scott, what kind of control that shows up the error. If its also html control normally dev used htmlheading. As that error page may have only once html heading control. U can get the text by using
    HtmlHeading("#1").GetText ()
If its something let us know

Re: GetWrappedText returns a variable, not the text

    Sree,
The error page that appears has the error message which is htmltext. There is a heading above it 'Error' which is htmlheading.
The confusing thing is that when I use the GetWrappedText on the error text in order to write it to a file I get the correct text.
It is just when the script is being run, i.e.: the invalid text is entered via the variable into the text box, the 'Save' button is clicked, the error page appears; and then I do the GetWrappedText function which then returns the invalid characters that are in the aforementioned variable.
So, GetWrappedText works witn the htmltext on the error page when done as a separate procedure but when the variable is used on the previous pages's text field then it returns the variable.
    Sounds crazy, doesn't it?
