Did Silk5.5 increased string length??? It is too small in Silk5.32

Did Silk5.5 increased string length??? It is too small in Silk5.32(like puny).

Every damn string related function is limited to that small length of characters.

For example clipboard has the same limitation because it uses a list of string, even though it can hold large data set in reality. Sometime it's just too messy to parse a string as a list of string.

According to the Help file the limit is still 16,383 characters. Still too small for you?

This is the same small length as before, which is way too small.

For me I need a big string to hold clipboard data. Too small!!!!!

Um...by my math...a 500 word document of (avg.) 4 characters per word (5 counting a space) would be 2,000 characters (2,500 including spaces). That would be less than 16K characters.

Usually, when dealing with "large" documents I use a LIST OF STRING. Since each element can be 16K characters, and there can be many elements.... What's so difficult about parsing through that? Just curious as I've never had issues with the string length before. The INTEGER limits, yes, but not the string variable capacity.

I got too excited with the math lol

    500*4=2000 not 20k lol

    Alright, enough laughs

Still too small is the final words.
