    Record Window Declarations vs Playback

    Hello all,

does anyone know why SilkTest5.5 would recognise an IEMessageBox when it is doing Record Window Declarations but not recognise the same when it is playing back a script?

I had assumed that the underlying mechanisms for detecting what is onscreen would be the same both cases?

    Thanks,

    Anh.

Try declaring this window in your inc file, set the message box active and click()!!!

Should work. I remember trying it once.

Re: Record Window Declarations vs Playback

    Thanks for your response Srikanth.

I have tried this already, and I have also tried dynamic instantiation, but SilkTest5.5 refuses to admit that any such window exists during playback.

Yet it recognises it readily when I do record window declarations.

This is a long running problem that I have been having and as yet have been unable to ferret out a solution.
