Bug in SilkTest 5.5 Hot Fix 3

Just an FYI of a bug in SilkTest 5.5 Hot Fix 3 - If you have an input field of type "file" is on a web page, the [Browse] button is not seen.

I attached a simple HTML test file.

I know you can see the button in VO extension, haven't tried DOM yet.

I am using DOM. Haven't tried it with VO. I'll try that.

OK, I tried it by switching to VO just for that button click. IE crashes on the Click action.

    Here is what I did:

Barking up the wrong tree. SilkTest 5.5 has a bug -- you can't switch between VO & DOM on the fly. Browser crashes. According to Segue tech support, the problem is scheduled to be fixed in something they referred to as "silktest 5.5 sp1" -- don't know what they mean by that. Judging from the release notes, this may have been broken in 5.03, was fixed in 5.031, and regressed again in 5.5.

Yes, I found that one too as I was trying to work around this bug. They confirmed the switching DOM-VO on the fly as a bug last week.

Not sure if the switching worked in other versions of 5.5 or not - I typically don't use VO.
