    GetCellValue???

I feel like I'm passing my posting quota this week. 8-O

Does anyone know of any known issues with GetCellValue on a JavaJFCTable?

I set a value in a cell SetCellValue({2,2}, "&This&Value&") and click off the cell. The AUT recognizes the ampersands as invalid characters and automatically strips them off leaving ThisValue in the cell. Now I call GetCellValue({2,2}) expecting to get ThisValue but Silk finds &This&Value& instead.

    Whassup?

Just a hunch, but I suspect that the characters are still there. Just displaying them is being held up by the table itself.

I've seen similar things with other tables in VB and C++ applications where the table has a list of character it will display. If a character is entered but not able to be displayed, it's still there and SilkTest will "see" it there.

    Dave,

That sounds like exactly what is happening. Any suggestions?

    Um, prayer?

Might want to see if there's a method you can see in the object(s) with Record Class that gives you what the list of "unshown" characters, or if there's a method for GetVisibleText or some such thing.
