I'm looking at making changes to my existing automation in order to get it running against a German version of our product. Does SilkTest support the various extended characters in other alphabets? I can't rightly say I've ever tried this. Any caveats?
The short answer to your question is YES. As long as you are not attempting to test a multiple byte character set (Japanese and other Asian languages), Silk should have no problem recognizing the extended character sets of most European languages.
We have been successfully using Silk to test localized versions of our products on French, German, Italian, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Danish, and Dutch versions of Win9x.
