    Button not exposed?

    Hi, There.
    I am using silk test 5.5. After recoding a frame and action for a test, I run the test. It gives me an error saying a button is not "exposed". I really don't see why it's not exposed at all. It can be identified using identifier.

    Any help is preciated.

    Re: Button not exposed?

    Common problem solved by searching this forum first.

    Basically you can just open Options|Agent

    uncheck 'Verify windows is exposed'
    window refer to window object, which can also be a control.

    Or just past this line into the code before you access the object:

    Agent.SetOption (OPT_VERIFY_EXPOSED, FALSE)

    I usually modify the control routine so it turns verification back on after I'm done accessing the control.

    For example, the PushButton Click would look like this:

    Click()
    Agent.SetOption (OPT_VERIFY_EXPOSED, FALSE)
    derived::Click()
    Agent.SetOption (OPT_VERIFY_EXPOSED, TRUE)

    I usually make the modification inside of the control, instead of at the PushButton class level.

    Verification is just for debugging purpose. Switch with Silk's environment variables are very bad idea. Switching environment variables are not a secure procedure, in my opinion.

    Touch them the least is the best
