    Silktest with Explorer 5.5

Has anyone successfully used Silktest with IE 5.5. I am mostly unable to recognize my application objects using silktest 5.02, 5.03
    or 5.5 on IE 5.5.
    Thanks

    Re: Silktest with Explorer 5.5

I am presently using VO although for future versions of the app we will be converting to DOM. I am therefore interested in finding out if DOM works with Silktest 5.5 and IE 5.5.

The app is entirely web based.

    Thanks

    Robert

DOM works good with IE 5.5 and Netscape 6.0 only.
We have problem in using the same script to Test Run for IE 5.0/5.5 and Netscape 4.77/6.0

If you plan to have IE 5.5 and Nets 6.0 then go for SilkTest 5.5 DOM

    Thanks

Yes I am using MSIE 5.5 and Silktest 5.5 DOM and so far so good no problems.

I have heard that Silktest will be phasing out use of VO in the future.

    Re: Silktest with Explorer 5.5

Looking back at last December's 5.0.3.2 release notes it looks like that patch release [5.0.3.2] supports IE 5.5, or perhaps more reliably then did 5.0.3.1.

If you are running 5.0.3 or 5.0.3.1 you might want to consider upleveling to 5.0.3.2. [The client's application I worked with last December executed as well or better under 5.0.3.2 as compared with 5.0.3.1, but I was using IE 5.01 with sp1, and not IE 5.5].

Of course if you are truly brave you could uplevel to Silktest 5.5 after reviewing all of the license server pitfalls documented recently on this board.

    Re: Silktest with Explorer 5.5

I've had success making IE 5.5 and SilkTest 5.5 work well together. SilkTest 5.03.2 is somewhat less stable.
