Setting Multi Text in a HtmlTextField..

    Hi,
I am trying to set multi text in the HtmlTextfield. I am using SetMultiText. The data is about 15 lines. But it writes 4 lines only. When I print the value of the variable it prints 15 lines. I passed starting and ending numbers to SetMultitext. Did not work.
    I am using Silk 5.0.3.1.

    Any help. ******.
    Thx

    Hello,

You're passing a LIST OF STRING to the method, right? Also, you can enter 15 lines manually?

Can you post the link where the text field is located?

I believe that the TextField you are trying to use has a limited input length(in your case 4 lines)

Did you try to put these values manually?
    That's what you do:

Paste your 4 lines and start adding more text. If you can't add more than you have your problem righ there. <- I think that is your problem.

    Hi John,
I am passing a LIST OF STRING to the method. The maximum limit of the Text Box is 5000 characters. I can enter manually those 15 lines.

Re: Setting Multi Text in a HtmlTextField..

SetMultiText is used to replace lines of Multi line TextField. Which means it uses each string at index i to replace the content of a line in multiTextfield.

Somehow MultiText thinks that there are no more line to be replaced, hence it stops.

Each line probably is ended with an null char. Anyhow that's just my theory.

Why don't you try to concat all your strings and do a SetText().

Another thing to try if you haven't tried it:

    SetMultiText(lsItems,1,ListCount(lsItem))

    Hi,

Can you post the URL? This kind of problem is definitely fixable, even if we need to use keystrokes to enter the items into the field.

    Hi John,
This application is under testing. It cannot be accessible from the outside.

Re: Setting Multi Text in a HtmlTextField..

I just tried something with a TextField and it told me:"expecting a multitextfield"

So your control is really a multi-text field??? Or some non-conventional control.

    Hi Gk,
I am sure ,that the Text Field is a MultiTextField. I checked using IsMultiText ().
Even it shows scrollbar if enter long string in the text field.

One more thing I tried same thing on different TextField. It pastes only 4 lines.
