Closing programs in SilkTest
We're trying to find a way to close prgrams through SilkTest when they get to an unstable state. We have a program and a test scrip that's behaving like others reported in thread:
What we want to do is create a do/except loop that would close everything except SilkTest, then we could call our start up method and resume testing. We can't find any type of command that will guarentee that SilkTest will close everything though. Many of the Close or Exit functions only call the defined Close method and stop, so if for some reason that doesn't work the program stays open. Default Base States won't work for this problem due to the way the script is written. Anyone have an idea on how to make sure everything but SilkTest is shut down?
Re: Closing programs in SilkTest
I suggest incorporating a reboot into your script. There have been several ways to do this discussed in the forum. I think there might even be something available in the downloads section to help you out. Anyway, this will allow the machine to reset everything. If you work out a way to initialize and run your tests from the command line, this can be a good way of working.
