Re: Clicks Different Images in Different Machine

Do you access 2 different machines in the same test in one run?

    or

Do you run twice the same test on 2 different machine?

Silk do produce different result on different OS. Your script might not run or do weird stuff for no evident reasons.

Do use machines with same settings.

Check how your images(1st,2nd) are declared, and how they are seeing by silk.

Re: Clicks Different Images in Different Machine

I run the same testcase in different machine, First Machine i run then in second machine open the file then run the same test

(Both the machine is windows 2000 professional with DOM)

First Machine saw register[1], register [2] & clicks register [1]

Second Machine saw Same Images with register[2], register [1] & clicks [2]

Re: Clicks Different Images in Different Machine

Are you telling me that Machine1 and Machine2
are clicking on Register[1] but somehow they correspond to different images?

Are you talking to machine1 and machine2 in the same run or in separate runs(using same test script)?

If it is what I am thinking, I had similar problems with links. When I click on that link it changed it state into text, hence offsetted the index # for all other links.

Maybe when you clicked on that link the index # changed on the image.

    Thing to try:

    1)Try to click on Register[1] for machine1 and Register[2] for machine2.

Re: Clicks Different Images in Different Machine

You got yourself an answer in your own message Keep in mind SILK sucks:P so work arounds are your friends.

Anyhow you should check the declaration of each images on each machine.

Just by curiosity do you run the test independently of each other, and in sequence. If by sequense can you reverse the sequence and see if you get the same error(also reverse the index # appropriatly)

You could also throw Tabs to the BrowserPage followed by an Enter. This has been suggested for similar problems.

I have had some repeatability problems clicking images myself. One of my solutions was to work out as simple a formula as possible based on the screen resolution and browser used to click a coordinate on the page.
