    Sending Quotes to Dos.SendCommand

I am using the Dos library from the download section.

I want to run a perl script from the the command line.
    example:

    replace.pl "c:\program files\testfile.txt"
    "John Doe" "Jane Doe"

it works ok if i type it manually in the dos box.

it fails when using Silk Dos.SendCommand ()
it returns a syntax error when compiling.

is there some some escape sequence for entering this with Dos.SendCommand?

I can run the command as a batch file, but I want to learn how to do it with Dos.SendCommand.

If you want to use double quotes inside of TypeKeys("hello "there", how are you") then use TypeKeys('hello "there", how are you')

Use single quotes on the outside.

    Thanks so much.

DOS.AgentTypeKeys ('hello "there", how are you')

    It works.

However, I am still having a problem typing the "<" and ">" character within double quotes.

For example, I need to type

Hello "<there>" , how are you

    Code fails with following error.

    [ ] DOS.AgentTypeKeys ("hello ""<there>"", how are you")
[ ] *** Error: 'there' is not a valid key name
    [ ] Occurred in AgentTypeKeys

    to clarify

I need to type the word "there" enclosed with
"<" and ">" characters, and then enclose that in quotes.
