OK I'll through some ideas around...
A you can create a function that you pass in the item you wish to select and in it you do a select based on the GetGuiType() function.
The next thing is what heppens if you type keys to the popup? Does it select the 1st item in the list that starts with the letter you typed like some menues?
Why don't you ask the developers to add shortcuts?
Last thing I want to suggest, is does SilkTest see the object, if so as what? Also can you tell how large it is? GetRect() ?
If you can tell the size then you can devide it by the number of rows and create a custom menu object where you specify the tag (1:2,2:4) Read about it in Handling Custom Objects.
