    Window type mismatch

    Hi,

I just completed the installation of Silk 5.5

As a test I am trying to execute a test case with this new version on IE 5.01 sp1.
During the setup (within script) a function gets called to search for text on the browser page.
This function has worked all along for IE and Netscape, but now I am receiving the following error:

*** Error: Window type mismatch - Expecting a top-level window or MDI child window

Below is the code for the function:

    [ ] //************************************************** ************************************/
    [ ] //* Looks for specified words in a browser page /
[ ] //* You pass the word to look for as an argument, and if found, the returned result /
[ ] //* will be YES, or else NO /
    [ ] //************************************************** ************************************/
[-] FindInPage ( String sWordToFind, out String sResults )
    [ ]
    [ ] AllPg.SetActive ()
    [ ] AllPg.TypeKeys ("<Ctrl-f>")
    [ ]
    [ ] explorer IE_Find.BrowserChild("#1").SetActive ()
    [ ] explorer IE_Find.BrowserChild("#1").TypeKeys ("{sWordToFind}<Enter>")
    [ ]
    [ ] netscape Browser.DialogBox("Find").SetActive ()
    [ ] netscape Browser.DialogBox("Find").TextField("Find what:|$1152").SetText ("{sWordToFind}")
    [ ] netscape Browser.DialogBox("Find").PushButton("Find Next|$1").Click ()
    [ ]
    [-] if ( BrowserMessage.Exists (2) == TRUE )
    [ ]
    [ ] BrowserMessage.OK.Click ()
    [ ]
    [ ] netscape Browser.DialogBox("Find").PushButton("Cancel").Cli ck ()
    [ ]
    [ ] explorer IE_Find.SetActive ()
    [ ] explorer IE_Find.Close ()
    [ ]
    [ ] sResults = "NO"
    [ ]
    [-] else
    [ ]
    [ ] sResults = "YES"
    [ ]
    [ ] //Close the find window
    [ ] netscape Browser.DialogBox("Find").PushButton("Cancel").Cli ck ()
    [ ]
    [ ] explorer IE_Find.SetActive ()
    [ ] explorer IE_Find.Close ()
    [ ]
    [ ]

This function is called in all of our scripts. The step the results page takes me to when double clicked is,
    explorer IE_Find.BrowserChild("#1").SetActive ().

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    -George

    Re: Window type mismatch

    Fixed!

Simple problem. I removed "BrowserChild(#1)" from the agent command in both lines it appeared, and it worked fine.

I should have tried this prior to posting.
