    Working with Excel-like windows

    Has anyone successfully worked with Excel-like windows in their applications? Apprently, SilkTest does not recognize the individual cells in a spreadsheet. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Re: Working with Excel-like windows

    include file: frame.inc
    INTEGER iRow;
    INTGER iColumn;
    window ChildWin Grid
    {
    TextField Box
    {
    tag "/({iColumn}:10, {iRow}:10)";
    }
    }

    testcase file: clickcell.t
    testcase clickcell () appstate none
    {
    // Click 1st row, 1st column
    iRow = 1;
    iColumn = 1;
    Grid.Box.Click ();

    // Click 2nd row, 2nd column
    iRow = 2;
    iColumn = 2;
    Grid.Box.Click ();

    }

    By using iRow and iColumn as Global Variables, you pass the value into the frame file. NOTE1: this only works for the visible part of the GRID. For cells that are off the screen, you first have to scroll to make them visible and then use the technique. NOTE2: For GRIDs that have vertical and horizontal scroll bars the Screen Area must remain the same (ex: 1024 by 768 pixels), because if you change the size of the screen you have changed the visible area of the GRID.
