    Runtime Options - Network

I have never change the settings in the Runtime Options for Network. I am testing on a server that is Local using NT. Do I or should I change the network protocol to reflect TCP/IP?

Could this be one the reasons I am continues getting Custom Windows in my Window Declarations? I would appreciate some advise. I am more or less teaching myself Silktest for mostly my interest and my company allowing me to do it, I do not get much practice but really want to learn. Please help. Thank you.

    Re: Runtime Options - Network

    We have the same setting.

We use remote server or local server as a silk host. The client is always the machine you run silk from.

We disable TCP/IP setting and everything looks fine. Can you try to let it on and see if everything works.

    Re: Runtime Options - Network

The popup list you're asking about is used when you want to execute your test on a remote machine. On the remote machine, you would need to start the agent. Then right-click on the agent and change Networking to TCP/IP. Click OK. Note the name of the agent (usually the machine name). Back on the host machine, in Runtime Options, select TCP/IP, and change the Agent Name from (local) to the remote machine name. This will cause all execution to occur on the remote machine.

    Hope this helps
