    Re: sample testplan needed!!!

There is a tutorial on using Silk Organizer (Silk testplans) at:
    http://www.automationexpertise.com/T...ges/Parent.htm

The tutorial includes a sample plan.

Let me know if you have any problems using the tutorial or have ANY questions about using the testplan feature of Silk.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: sample testplan needed!!!

One limitation of the Test Plan seems to be that testcases cannot share values of Global variables.

For example, I create an initial user name in TestCase 1 based on the current date and time.
I would like to use this name among all other test cases.

But since all global variables get re-initialized after each testcase, it is not possible.

I have to resort to write/reading of values to files in order
for other testcases to read global variables.

Thanks. I will write them. I wonder why they designed it like that in the first place.

In the meantime, perhaps others can discuss
the advantages of using a test plan vs using main ()?

I still have not studied the main () method
yet. But I may switch over to this , given the limitation of global variables in test plan method.
