Need Help bad - DB_FetchNext w/ uniqueidentifier
I am trying to run DB_FetchNext on a table and it is failing because of the following error...
*** Error: SQL_TYPE (-11) in column (rowguid) not supported
I am guessing it is due to the column being a type uniqueidentifier.
Any idea I can work around this? I am pulling my hair out here again.
Re: Need Help bad - DB_FetchNext w/ uniqueidentifier
I think you're right about SilkTest with dealing with guids. I experienced the same problem. I couldn't use the Select * FROM table. I ended up having to list out all of the columns in the Select statement, excluding the offending column. Then it worked fine. Luckily I didn't need this column so I could ignore it. If you need this column - I read in a prevous posting about an idea that may work for you, try casting the guid to a string and bring the guid out as a string. Read the link: http://www.qaforums.com/Forum1/HTML/001739.html. If it works, thank vincebowdren for the idea.
