    Re: Ultimate Challenge - Tables

    We use tables (html tables) a lot. The reason being that we are able to recognize columns as a concrete number (say four across) and the number of rows can be dynamic (0 - ~). We can then write a script that cycles through the rows in column two to find a specific link or text piece.
    If our approach had been to get rid of tables this would have been a night mare to control, espcially when you take into consideration nested tables of dynamic content. We have been doing this for about four months with great success, the biggest problem was finding the 'best' table tolerance setting in the domex.ini file.

    Silk's worst problem are tables... My advice is to use DOM and set the:

    ShowBorderlessTables=.5

    in \Extend\Domex.ini

    This will make you bypass a lot of the problems that Tables create, but use as a last resort!

    Re: Ultimate Challenge - Tables

    My approach right now, is to store all Table content in an ARRAY[][] of anytype. Then I disable the table so I can access everything securely.

    pseudo:
    Now you can either store the captions or the control.

    I had bad experience referencing controls within a table(it doesn't always see the controls).

    Re: Ultimate Challenge - Tables

    Hi

    We also did have a lot of problems with Html tables-particularly if they are dynamic. But we have managed to get over it by writing a dll which will give the contents of a particular page and store it in a file which you can read.

    Let me know if you need more help.
