Silk,Java and Memory(More info incuded on this post)

We are having a problem with a
memory leak that appears to be caused by Silk.We are having a problem
with Silk running under Java 1.2.2.We include the
SilkTest_Java2.jar.When we run our application 'Silk - free' we don't
seem to get any "out of memory" errors. When we run our application
with the Silk jar included using your test workbench, we get "out of
memory" errors fairly rapidly. We have examined what is happening with
a java profiler, and have found Silk to be holding memory. For
example, several Strings not being freed had the following
connection: Memory held by static variable of class
segue.io.EkPro Memory held by static variable of class
segue.implant.QapAWTEventListenerThe things that seem to be increasing
in memory and not freed seem to be:Object arrays (Object[])char arrays
(char[])int arrays (int[])StringsOur application is a bit unusual in
that rather than a frame-window based application it works more like a
wizard, with additional dialogs accessible from the wizard screens, so
it moves back and forth between different windows quite a bit. Also,
the windows are quite input data (or component) dense because of the
amount of data we are trying to collect. Is this type of applicaiton
a problem with Silk?Any help you could in
preventing/solving these memory leaks would be of great help. One other thing I should mention is that even without using silk we still see a small memory leak. Is it possible for silk to overreact to this?

What version of SilkTest are you using ?

There were significant memory leaks in the Java <-> Agent link in all but the most recent version -- 5.0.3.2

Using SilkTest 5.0.3.2, I did some Memory Leak tests against a Delphi app and found one area (toggling between the Edit and View modes) that showed a "memory leak" problem but not on the other areas. This is sort of telling me that the Memory Leak problem is not with SilkTest but with the AUT.
(too bad my AUT didn't have the Java stuffs for me to check out)
