    Returning the Silk Client name

Does anybody know a function or method that returns the HostName of the machine that SilkTest is running on? I am currently using a compiler constant for it, but it would be far better if I could get this dynamically-- without changing it manually.

Re: Returning the Silk Client name

    Try SYS_GetRegistryValue ()
and look for ComputerName for your machine name, assuming your client resides in the same machine as your host.

For a target Agent's machine name, I guess you can use the name from your Connect (sMachine) function, providing you name sMachine the same as the target's machine name.

Re: Returning the Silk Client name

FYI: I was searching my registry (win2k machine) for my computername and it looks like it's stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\ComputerName\ComputerName value:computername

Using SYS_GetRegistryValue() sounds like the way to go.

    Great, it worked.

I was figuring that I would have to get a reg value, but I did not know where to get it.
