Verifying UI changes via ssh/CLI
I searched the forum and couldn't find anything that really answered my question. I used to test with Silktest years ago and have just recently started again. What I'd like to do is configure our UI using Silktest, then connect to our DUT via it's command line and verify the changes were actually performed properly. I vaguely remember doing this many years ago.
Basically I would like to configure fields X, Y and Z in our UI (browser) using Silktest Workbench. Save the changes, and then ssh to our device and verify that those values were set properly on the command line.
I'd also like to do the opposite, configure something in the command line, and verify the changes appear correctly in UI.
Is there a standard way this is done these days?
Look at the Silk Test class named ConsoleWindow to read the contents of a console window and/or type commands. You should have no problem with the browser as this is a supported tech domain.
