Can silk run in the background?

Can silktest run in stealth mode, so that you can do other stuff while running a test?

Re: Can silk run in the background?

    Hi,

If SilkTest does not require a GUI for testing, for example you may be running a suite of database tests, you can run SilkTest in the background. If you are testing using a GUI then SilkTest needs control of the machine, as it's using keyboard and mouse events.

Maybe you could try something like VMWare and have SilkTest running on one virtual machine while you work on the other. I'm not sure whether such an approach would work, but you could try it.

By running your testcases on an agent machine you can free up your own PC to keep working.

It Monday morning, so what's an 'agent machine':P Silk should have simulated everything on a virtual window and threads.
So you don't see anything and you don't worry about anything[because you don't see it]...maybe

It's another machine with either a full or agent install of SilkTest. You set up your machine (Options>Runtime - Agent Name and Network in the dialog box) to connect to and run your testcases on the remote machine.
