Application automation using silk4j
I tried to create a project (type silk4j) in eclipse IDE and able to get the control objects,
present within java application. Now I want to invoke that java application from silk4j, as we did
in web based automation through the base state.
I want to know how to invoke a windows based application (java application) using silk4j?
any help is much appreciated.
When you create a new Silk4J project you are presented with the Select Application dialog, you can select your Java application from here and the base state will be created (see image Silk4J Select Application.png in the attached ZIP file).
If you already have a project you edit the application configuration (select the dropdown off the Silk Test toolbar button). You are presented with the Edit Application Configurations dialog, this will show the configured items, this is where you can add one or edit an existing one. Selecting Edit next to the configured item shows the details for this App Config, see the images Silk4J Edit Application Configuration (1/2).png for samples.
Hope that helps...
