Tips on Memory Leak testing?
For Memory Leak testing such as a simple Opening of a of Dialog Box then turning the Edit mode on and off (in a For loop), what would be the ideal/appropriate amount of time to use (sleep) in the scripts (both inside the For loop and after) to make sure that the memory used has been released?
If I used "sleep (1)", the values I get from
the "Total Page Memory" is very consistent; meaning if the apps is losing 100000 bytes in each iteration, the values showing up are pretty close to that number. If I used "sleep (.5), the values inside the loop are inconsistent (sometimes it's up, most of the time it's down from the previous iteration). At the end of the For loop, I issue another sleep (30).
Any tips you would like to share?
Thank you very much!
