Test Java Applets within IE 5.x with silk

Just looking for anyone who may have gone down this path. Haven't spent to much time with it but intially silk recognizes the Applet as Custom Win. I'm using 5.03.Patch 2 with Extensions set to IE 5 DOM only.

Do you need to make a java reference for extension? Any help would be great.

    Did you set the Classpath?

If not, search for "classpath" in the Silk help files and you should be good from there.

Setting the classpath variable depends on which Java version is installed on your machine(s).

Take a look at the online help in SilkTest. There is a chapter on Testing Java applications and Applets. This will guide you through the configuration and set up you need for Testing applets in browsers.

More specifically, add this line to your classpath:

    [installed path of silk]\segue\silktest\javaex\silktest_java1.jar

Then take a window's declaration reading on the applet, if it is indentified as a java applet, you're home free.
