Problem with map display overlaping a table

SilkTest version 5.0.3 running under Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6
    Java client/server application

I'm having a problem with one of my applications. It has three main frames on the display, one of which is a map, another is a table. One portion of this map evidently overlaps the table, and Silk thinks that the table is on top instead of the map. When I go to click in that area of the map I get an error:

    27700
*** Error: Window '/[JavaMainWin]Corvis Network Manager Release <Release> ?User root Connected to 172.16.250.251 on port 9090 since Fri Feb 23 11:39:54 EST 2001?/[javax.swing.JSplitPane]#1/[...' is not expose
    Occurred in Click

When I bring up the record window definition utility, I can see that silk thinks that the table that is underneath is on top. The map is defined as follows:

    [-] window JavaJFCChildWin PhysicalElementMap
[ ] tag "Physical Element Map"
    [ ] //parent JavaxSwingJSplitPane
    [ ] parent CNM.Background
    [ ]
    [-] CustomWin MapDisplay
    [ ] msw tag [com.adventnet.nms.mapui.BasicMap]$com.adventnet.nms.mapui.BasicMap"

The table is defined as follows:

    [-] window JavaMainWin CNM
[ ] tag "Corvis Network Manager Release*"
    [ ]

    [-] CustomWin Background
    [ ] msw tag "[javax.swing.JSplitPane]$javax.swing.JSplitPane"
    [ ]
    [-] CustomWin MapAlertList
    [ ] msw tag "[javax.swing.JSplitPane]$javax.swing.JSplitPane"
    [ ]

    [-] JavaJFCTable AlertCounts
[ ] tag "Alert Counts by Severity Category"
    [ ]

There is a vertical divider between them:

    [-] CustomWin VerticalDivider
    [ ] msw tag "[javax.swing.plaf.metal.MetalSplitPaneDivider]$javax.swing.plaf.metal.MetalSplitPaneDivider"

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to work around this?

Also, how do you all get your code snippets to display correctly?

    Thanks,

    Atlee

Re: Problem with map display overlaping a table

One quick thing to check is in your Agent options, on the Verification Tab. Make sure the "Verify that windows are exposed" is NOT checked.

If that doesn't help, maybe doing a SetFocus on the window first.

Another thing that might help is to take those CustomWin's that aren't really used for anything other than "holders" and set them in your class map to 'ignore'

Hope these suggestions help provide some ideas for direction.

The exposed windows setting in the options did the trick.

    Thanks a lot,
