    How to repeat testcases in test plan

    I want to repeat a set of testcases() contained in the .pln.

    I have tried a for loop in the test plan, but it only ran once.

    .pln code i:

    INTEGER repeat

    [-] for (repeat=1; repeat<10;++repeat)
    [+] testcase1
    {+] testcase1

    You can make a master plan, then include: the subplan as many times as you want to run it. It seems cumbersome, but its not too hard to do. There's no looping in a plan, unfortunately.

    Re: How to repeat testcases in test plan

    Hi Raul,

    If you wish to loop the running of your testcases, you should use the Main () function (in a script file).

    [-] Main ()
    [ ] integer i
    [-] for i = 1 to 10
    [ ] //... call your testcase here...

    I hope that this helps.

    John.

    Re: How to repeat testcases in test plan

    Hi John
    When I type for loop testcase as you describe:
    [-] Main ()
    [ ] integer i
    [-] for i = 1 to 10
    [ ] //... call your testcase here...
    It gives syntax error --- testcase.
    Thanks

    Re: How to repeat testcases in test plan

    The word testcase needs to be remove. The testcase function is created outside of main(). You just call the function from main().

    [-] main()
    [ ] mytest()
    [-] testcase mytest()
    [ ] //code here

    Another option is create your testcase as a function then create another testcase that calls that function how ever many times you want it, then call that testcase from your .pln
