    Silk_Test_Java1.jar or Java2

    I have JDK 1_1_8 installed.

However, my application is launched from command line with it's own runtime java.exe
    program. It uses
    \jre1.2.2\bin\java .exe program.

Developers tell me the application can be compiled with Java 1_1_8.

Should I be using the Silk_Test_Java1.jar or
Silk_Test_Java2.jar file for testing this app ?

When I was testing on 1.1.8 I used java_1.jar. Seemed to work fine.

    Re: Silk_Test_Java1.jar or Java2

    Actually JDK 1.1.x: use SilkTest_Java1.jar
    JDK 1.2.x or 1.3.x: use SilkTest_Java2.jar

Java 1 and Java 2 refer to Java platform versions and not JDKs. Java 2 generally refers to 2nd generation Java, as is implemented via JDK 1.2.x or JDK 1.3.x.

    Re: Silk_Test_Java1.jar or Java2

If you type 'java -version' at the command prompt this will tell you which JDK is configured on your machine. Also, run the status applet in the SilkTest directory to find out if your SilkTest Java setup is correct. As for which SilkTest_java file should be used, the replies above are spot on.
