Attach issues with TestPartnter 6.2
We are using TestPartner 6.2 (very old huh!?, Planning to move to QTP someday) . But we faced some real issues as mentioned below:
>> Scripts run significantly slower (QTP may be at least 5 times faster), we changed the run time settings and removed all kinds of delays and our scripts started to fail like anything with 'Failed to attach' messages all around. We had to put those delays back.
>> While the scripts are running if you move mouse by mistake it just fails to recognize objects (quite poor object recognition ability.)
>> We are not able to run the scripts from QADirector at all because of the random attach issues pooping up all round even with the current delays we have set in run-time options.
Is there any real solution to this situation? I wonder many people would have feel this problem. We are just getting frustrated with this tool and want to move to QTP sooner as possible.
Re: Attach issues with TestPartnter 6.2
I'm just curious because you posted this in the SilkTest forum: Why not move to SilkTest (which offers stable and very fast test execution) ?
